Now entering the rebuilding stage

The flood has passed but has not been forgotten. The park was hit hard but with minimal damage to park amenities. The ground is still soggy and dyed brown from all the mud left over. I am happy to report that all nine baskets and tee boxes were not harmed in the flood but do need to be cleaned up.

the rest of bloomsburg on the other hand did not make out so well. Many residents lost a lot to this flood. Many homes are now in the process of cleaning up the mess and rebuilding. By rebuilding I mean replacing water heaters, installing new carpeting, installing new wall coverings and such things like that. bloomsburg was added to the growing list of counties to receive national disaster relief funds from fema which should help a lot. The members of the local armed forces also gave great effort in providing bloomsburg area with over 10 water buffalos as bloomsburg did not have running water for nearly a week and are still under a water boil advisers.

there has been much debate the last couple years that bloomsburg should install a flood wall. One can only wonder how much damage we would have had if it was installed and I'm sure after the recent flooding the flood wall topic will again be a headline of the town.
